    Job Description

    As a key member of our legal team, your contribution will significantly enhance our organization's legal processes. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring streamlined and efficient legal operations, leading to improved risk management, enhanced compliance, and strengthened legal frameworks.

    Roles and Responsibilities

      Outcomes expected:

      Month 1: Deep Dive into HyperVerge: In your first month, you'll have the opportunity to develop a profound understanding of HyperVerge as a company, our unique business model, and our innovative products. Embrace the challenge of comprehending the intricacies of our technology and the legal landscape surrounding it. We'll provide you with the resources and support to fast-track your knowledge and become a true HyperVerge expert!


      Months 1-3: Independent Document Review, Drafting & Negotiation

      Within the first three months, you'll take on full responsibility for document negotiation, review, drafting, and vetting. You'll meticulously scrutinize legal documents, bringing your keen eye for detail to the forefront and putting your exceptional drafting skills to the test. You will have the opportunity to negotiate with the leading banks, fintechs, gaming companies, social media orgs, insurance clients of HyperVerge as you craft and negotiate airtight agreements that protect our interests and drive our business forward.


      Months 4 onwards - Contribution to Processes 

      As a key member of our legal team, your contribution will significantly enhance our organization's legal processes. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring streamlined and efficient legal operations, leading to improved risk management, enhanced compliance, and strengthened legal frameworks.

    Desired Candidate Profile

      Requirements:

      • Experience and Expertise: You should possess a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in TMT, Fintech, or General Corporate law. Whether you've gained your expertise in a prestigious law firm or in-house, we value your practical experience and insights.
      • Academic Background: A BA/BBA/BSc LLB is a prerequisite, if you hold an LLM or other advanced degrees, that's a bonus! 
      • Certifications and External Courses: We highly value candidates who have invested in their professional growth through certifications, PGDMs, or other external courses related to general corporate practice, fintech, data protection, or other relevant areas of law. 
      • Curiosity and Versatility: We need a legal professional who is naturally inclined to understand new technologies. You should have an insatiable interest in working across a breadth of legal issues, including agreement drafting, advisory on products, internal compliance management, labor laws, and more. Embrace the diverse challenges and seize opportunities to broaden your legal horizons.
      • Data Protection Savvy: If you have experience working on data protection frameworks in different geographies, we consider that a significant advantage. Help us navigate the complexities of data privacy and protection as we expand our global footprint.
      • Exceptional Communication: Strong writing and verbal communication skills are essential for success in this role. We expect you to handle high stakes negotiations and effectively communicate complex legal concepts to both legal and non-legal stakeholders.


      Competencies:

      • Strong tech and legal fundamentals to understand their confluence
      • Knowledge of intellectual property laws and experience in managing IP portfolios
      • Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
      • Ability to assess and mitigate legal risks associated with technology projects and initiatives
      • Familiarity with data protection and privacy laws, including DPDP, PDP, GDPR and CCPA
      • Understanding of licensing agreements, software development, and technology transfer
      • Knowledge of regulatory compliance in the technology sector
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams
      • Ability to stay updated on emerging legal and regulatory trends in the technology industry
      • Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to provide strategic legal advice on technology matters.
