    Job Description

    The manager / Sr Manager of Buying is responsible for building, leading, and coordinating the entire buying function for Spendflo. He/she will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the function including developing consistent processes and controls for strategic planning, sourcing, Price benchmarks, platform improvement, and vendor relations across all customers

    Roles and Responsibilities

      • Develop and lead the execution of a procurement strategy focused on maximising efficiencies and delivering value to business stakeholders across our customers.
      • Integrate and unify the buying function across starter, growth, and enterprise customers
      • Prepare negotiation scripts and negotiate with suppliers, make recommendations and help improve the product
      • Engage with internal & external business partners to ensure that decisions are based on the broad scope of the organization and ensure that the team achieves optimum daily execution
      • Own all savings velocity, Time to value, Savings guarantees, and time to procurement

      KPI’s for the customers

      • Manage and develop the team to support the buying strategy; oversee goal setting, performance reviews, and development opportunities for team members.
      • Establish team goals, KPI reporting packages, and the long-term roadmap.

    Desired Candidate Profile

      • Ability to lead and inspire a team and a genuine love for people management
      • 8-12 years of relevant experience building and leading procurement and developing sourcing and procurement methodologies on a global level
      • Track record of success in procurement vendor selection and oversight; expertise in skilfully negotiating contracts with a variety of suppliers
      • Multi-tasking as needed to manage various procurement projects/tasks at once while partnering with various stakeholders

      • Entrepreneurial mindset to accelerate and drive acceptance of procurement strategy and processes across the organization
      • Demonstrated project management, consulting, and facilitation skills
      • Proven ability to hire, train and develop high-performing teams
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
      • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cohesively with a cross-functional team.
